Today, everyone slept in until 830. There were a few of us who were anxious and couldn't sleep so the extra few minutes certainly helped out. After a quick breakfast, we ventured down to the Exhibit Hall to our booths. Each Finalist set up their projects on the booth's back panels. This took about two and half hours for the last Finalist to finish. Of course there were some technical glitches and last minute changes, but in the end, everyone is pleased with their displays.
After setup was complete with a light lunch, Finalists went to a mock presentation workshop. They spent several hours down there. While this was all going on, Susan and I were in a delegates' meeting. They gave us the overview for the entire week.
Tonight we went the Canadian Science and Technology Museum for dinner. It was typical buffet style with long line ups. It takes a lot of time to get through and feed almost 800 students and adults. The menu had sweet and sour chicken on rice. By the time South Fraser reached the chafing dishes, all the chicken had been picked over leaving our hungry little group with lots of vegetables, particularly legumes. Once dinner was finished, we had a brief opening ceremony at the museum. Afterwards, everyone had about an hour to tour through the museum. We hopped on the bus at 8:20 this evening and returned to our residences. Everyone wanted to get a good nights sleep for tomorrow's big judging day.
Projects look great! All the best today at judging. Show them what you know!
